Growing In A Nutshell
Growing in a Nutshell is a small group of committed people
taking our demonstration garden to various venues. We aim to inform the public
about the advantages of container and vertical gardening which is suitable for
growing food in small spaces and backyards.
We strongly promote the concept and practice of organic
gardening and warn of the many dangers and disadvantages in the use of
herbicides and pesticides. We also discourage any use of chemical fertilizers.
A more recent part of our demonstrations is to draw
attention to the worsening plight of the bees, both domestic and wild. Bees are
the most important pollinator of food crops and keep your plants fertile for
seed harvesting. We also point out the obvious danger in the recent practice of
patenting plants and seeds taken to extremes by such companies as the giant GMO
Multinational Monsanto…
